About HomeBase

Led by youth, for youth.

HomeBase provides a safe environment for youth (aged 10-17), free of drugs, alcohol and violence. The model ensures the program and activities within it are developed by the youth to build leadership capabilities, self-determination and ownership of their program. We work alongside youth, creating a safe place for conversation.

HomeBase is committed to assist and work with any young person who comes through the ‘door’. This commitment is a true emulation of a no wrong door policy and creates a trusting service environment for young people to develop life skills, building healthy relationships and social connectedness.

Social Enterprise

HomeBase Mildura has developed a social enterprise to build the capacity of its participants and raise funds to support the sustainability of the program.

The children’s entertainment program was developed, designed and delivered by HomeBase participants to the community of Mildura.

Our supporters

Other generous supporters include the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust, as well as the John T Reid Charitable Trusts and the Jack Brockhoff Foundation – who have supported our HomeBase initiative – a space for young people, led by young people.
