Quality of Care Report 2015

Occupational-Therapy

It is with great pleasure that we present this year’s Quality of Care Report. Sunraysia Community Health Services (SCHS) has had another very busy year. In fact, the last twelve months have probably been one of our busiest years in recent times, with much work done on growing our quality capacity and systems within the organisation.

This report gives an overview of the great work of SCHS, which services the health needs of our community and should give our community tremendous confidence in the quality of our local services.

During the year, we commenced a transition of our document control system to a state-of-the-art web-based program. This was an important step in building infrastructure around our quality system, and it has achieved much efficiency along the way. In the same process, we also reviewed all documents on the system, including our policies and procedures. This has been a huge job and it is still in progress, but we are well on the way to completing our transition to the new program.

As part of the normal cycle of accreditation, we welcomed quality audits during the year and are pleased to report that SCHS has performed very well. We treat our auditing seriously, with an expectation that quality is driven throughout the organisation from the top-down.

My thanks to our staff, all of whom have been called upon at some stage during the year to contribute and assist towards our evolving quality systems. The buy-in from our people has been fantastic. We look forward to the next twelve months, where we anticipate great excitement as we move closer to moving into our new multi-million dollar, purpose-built facility.

Regards, Craig Stanbridge CEO
