SCHS Nurse Practitioner, Yasmin Birnie, Receives Invitation to the Golden Key International Honours Society

We are proud to announce that our Nurse Practitioner Candidate, Yasmin Birnie has been honoured with an invitation to join the esteemed Golden Key International Honours Society after achieving a place in the top 15% of her class.
The Golden Key International Honours Society is the largest collegiate honour society in the world for both graduate and undergraduate’s students, offering its members a variety of benefits, including scholarships and opportunities for travel and study abroad (https://www.goldenkey.org/).
Yasmin began her Master’s in Nurse Practitioner in 2022, at Flinders’ University Adelaide. Successfully balancing her online coursework with her role as an Advanced Practice Sexual Health Nurse at Sunraysia Community Health Services.
“It was a well-coordinated course, all online and it helped develop the skills I needed to transition from an advanced practice nurse to a Nurse Practitioner”, Yasmin shares.
She expresses gratitude for the support from SCHS throughout her education: “I was employed as a Nurse Practitioner Candidate from the start of my course and the provision of study leave allowed time to focus on your studies, both valuable contribution from SCHS”.
Yasmin is set to provide integrated sexual and reproductive health care at SCHS, focusing on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment in her specialty area.
