SCHS is overseen by a board of directors. The board’s role is to manage SCHS by providing a governing approach and offering advice.
Glenis Beaumont
Glenis is the SCHS Board Chair, appointed in November 2022 and is also the Chair of the Nominations and Remuneration Committee. She is a member of the Audit and Finance committee and an attendee of the Governance Committee. Glenis is a retired nurse and midwife and the recent Acting CEO of Mallee Sexual As Visault Unit and Domesticolence Services. Qualifications: MBA, GAICD, RN, RM. Commenced 2019
Glenis has extensive corporate experience in rural health services complemented by recent roles in the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services. Glenis’ career-long focus has been service development, systems improvement, clinical governance, risk management and quality outcomes within a health setting.
David Harris
Deputy Board Chair, a member of the Audit and Finance Committee and recently held the General Manager Operations role at SuniTAFE until his resignation in July 2024. Qualifications B.Bus (Prop), GAICD Commenced 2022
David joined the Board in November 2022 and brings a wealth of experience across several sectors including Real Estate, Financial and Education. Previously held roles include qualified electrician, valuer, state manager (LJ Hooker), regional commercial manager (Crowe Horwath) and several roles within SuniTAFE.
Courtney Biggs
A member of the Audit and Finance Committee and is a Certified Practicing Accountant. Qualifications: CPA, B. Applied Finance, GAICD Commenced November 2020
Courtney is a Financial Adviser with over 19 years’ experience in the financial services sector, and is also a CPA. Courtney is a former Compliance Manager and brings a corporate/business lens to the board. She is passionate about our community and in particular, improving health & social outcomes.
Anne Mansell
Member of the Governance Committee and is the current Chair of the Northern Mallee Local Learninork. Qualifications: B.Arts, Gg and Employment Netwrad. Cert Bus Man, Dip Corporate Governance (AICD) Grad Dip. Planning Commenced 2022
Anne joined the Board in November 2022 and is the former CEO of Dried Fruits Australia and Mildura Development Corporation. Anne commenced her career as a registered nurse and retains a strong interest in community health. With over 30 years’ experience in horticulture and regional development, Anne is currently a Committee Member of Loddon Mallee Regional Development Australia, La Trobe Mildura Regional Advisory Board and the Mallee Regional Innovation Centre.
Trevor Willcock
The Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee, the Treasurer, and is a member of the Nominations and Remuneration Committee. Trevor is the current Chief Executive Officer of the Mildura Airport. Qualifications: Dip Management Accounting, Dip Hospitality Management. Commenced 2021
Trevor is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in companies with a wide range of activities. He is skilled in negotiation, business planning, strategy and commercial management. He is also a strong business development professional in aviation, hospitality and property. Trevor brings a business and commercial focus to the Board and has extensive experience across the aviation and hospitality sectors, both locally and internationally.
Julia Morgan
Member of the Governance Committee and is a qualified accountant with extensive experience in executive roles. Qualifications MBA, Adv Dip Management, Dip Accounting Commenced 2022
Julia joined the Board in November 2022, taking a period of leave to accept an Executive role as the SCHS Business and Finance Executive. Julia officially commenced her Board position in January 2024 and brings over 15 years of senior leadership experience in acute and community health services in both public and private settings. Julia’s previous roles include CEO of the Mildura Base Hospital and Executive Director Corporate Services of Mallee District Aboriginal Services. Julia is committed to using her skills and experience to help ensure strong strategic direction, good governance and sound oversight of the organisation she serves.
Brian Smith
Chair of the Governance Committee, the Chair of the Project Consulting Group and is an Engineering Consultant. Qualifications: Dip.CivEng Commenced 2012
Brian is an Engineering Consultant with over 35 years' experience in engineering and project management. After a period of consulting nationally as a specialist design engineer liaising with engineers and architects, Brian held the role of Senior Manager of Assets and Planning in the Engineering sector of Lower Murray Water.
