Volunteers
SCHS welcomes volunteers from all backgrounds, skills and abilities. We consider each volunteer and match you with a suitable position to suit your individual skills, knowledge and interests. SCHS provide training and ongoing support in your volunteer role.
As a volunteer at SCHS you will:

Volunteer Opportunities
Community Meal Program
The Community Meal Program works alongside the CP@clinic team to provide members in the community with access to a weekly community lunch and food relief packages.
The Family & Child Hub
The FCH is a co-location of a number the most readily used child and family health and wellbeing services along with amenities and a place for social connection.
Palliative Care
Volunteers are an essential part of Palliative Care and are able to offer the gift of time, a listening ear and help with many things beyond that possible for doctors, nurses and professional staff.
HomeBase
HomeBase is a program run by the youth, for the youth. It is a friendly meeting place where young people have access to weekly activities a social enterprise and health and wellbeing support services.
Hecht
Hecht is an adult day activity centre supporting older people and people with disabilities to remain living in their own home by providing a range of enjoyable and meaningful activities.
"My family has always volunteered so I knew it was always something I wanted to do. It's rewarding to work with older people in out community that just need some extra support and I really enjoy coming in to see them every week."
