The Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and organized Program Support Officer to join our Community Health team. This role is essential in supporting health professionals and assisting clients to receive a smooth, welcoming and efficient service.
The Program Support team play a vital support role by helping services run smoothly and efficiently. They handle tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing client records, and answering phones. They often coordinate communication between clients, clinicians, and service providers ensuring information is accurate and shared appropriately. Overall, their work helps healthcare professionals focus on client care while ensuring SCHS is organized, accessible and responsive to the needs of our community.
Applicant Requirements:
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to collect information in a sensitive manner, with practical regard to cultural requirements, language issues, special communication needs, privacy and confidentiality.
- Well-developed computer skills including word processing, database management and electronic information exchange.
You’re someone who:
- Has knowledge of the health service sector, including SCHS and local health and welfare services.
- Takes pride in meticulous attention to detail.
- Understands client privacy laws and can handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Is reliable and able to work with minimal supervision
