Refugee Health
The Refugee Health Service works to ensure the long-term health of refugees by offering culturally appropriate health care that looks after the needs of refugees and asylum seekers living in the Mildura district.
Eligibility
If you are a refugee or asylum seeker you can ask to see a Refugee Health Nurse.
- Come to the front desk and ask for an appointment
- Ask a friend or family member to contact us on your behalf
- Ask a settlement support worker to contact us
- Ask your doctor to refer to one of our service providers
- Phone us and ask us to call you back with an interpreter
Cost
This is a free service.
Please note :
You do not need a Medicare Card or Health Care Card to access this service.
We can not assist with visa applications.

Our Service

Our Refugee Health Program supports newly arrived refugees or asylum seekers with a thorough assessment of their current health and treatment or preventative interventions to ensure existing or at risk conditions are managed appropriately.
