Service Information

The role of the Occupational Therapists at SCHS is to assist individuals who are frail, aged and/or have a disability to maximize their functional independence at home and in the community. Occupational Therapy promotes independence in all aspects of daily life, such as showering & bathing, dressing & grooming, eating & drinking, toileting, seating, bed transfers and social, leisure and community activities.

An Occupational Therapist can help you by listening to your needs and working with you to plan the most appropriate treatment for you, including setting goals and developing a treatment plan. You will be actively involved in your Occupational Therapy care.

Occupational Therapists may visit your home, or work with you in the centre.
