The health promotion team at SCHS work in the places where people live, learn, work and play, with the overall goal of improving our population’s health. This work aims to increase everyone’s ability to make a choice that is good for their overall health. With a strong focus on increasing Active Living, Sexual Health, Healthy Eating and Oral Health, the team also plays a large role in Smoking, Vaping, Alcohol & Other Drugs education.
By partnering with local businesses, sporting clubs, councils, early childhood services, schools, workplaces and community groups, we strive to create sustainable, positive changes.
Our mission is to foster a healthy community, with a culture that values preventing health conditions by making educated lifestyle choices.
