Our Service

Community Paramedics run regular weekly clinics across the community.  People  needing to access healthcare can visit these clinics  and  be seen by a community paramedic. The friendly team are available to provide free health checks and assessments and also support and advice related to your health needs. 

At the CP@clinic a community paramedic will:

  • Ask some questions about your health
  • Ask about any health services you are currently connected with
  • Take your blood pressure
  • Give you health advice and information
  • Set health goals with you
  • Connect you  and other services you may need

The CP@clinic program is designed for non-emergency situations, focusing on chronic disease prevention, management, and health promotion, especially for older adults.

  • You experience severe symptoms like chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, or signs of a stroke (e.g., sudden numbness, confusion, trouble speaking).
  • You have a medical emergency that requires immediate attention.
  • You have a condition that worsens rapidly and cannot wait for a routine check-up

No, CP@clinic is designed to complement the care provided by your doctor, offering routine health assessments, education, and support for managing chronic conditions.

Community paramedics can help identify health risks and connect you with your primary care providers (doctors and specialists) for further evaluation and treatment when needed. CP@clinic can help you stay on top of your health between GP visits and ensure you get the necessary follow-up care.

No, CP@clinic cannot provide prescriptions. For a prescription, you will need to visit your GP. However, through the clinic, a community paramedic can help you to arrange an appointment so you can get the prescription.

Yes, community paramedics can assist you to make appointments with your regular GP and they can help you find a GP if you don’t already have one. They can also refer you to community health, aged care and social support services, depending on your needs.
