Sunraysia Community Health Services (SCHS) is reaching out to local First Nations artists to enter our artwork competition. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artists of all ages are encouraged to participate and create an artwork that represents any/all of the following elements: 

  • community and culture
  • nature and environment
  • animals and totems
  • health and wellbeing. 

The work of the winning Artist will be used in SCHS publications to be developed specifically for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in our area. The Artist will be acknowledged in all publications and will be showcased in the next SCHS Annual Report (along with their photo and bio), on the SCHS website and in other branded materials.

Prize

The winning Artist will receive a gift card of $200.

Eligibility

We’re looking for submissions from local Indigenous and/or Torres Strait Islander Artists from across the Loddon Mallee region; from Swan Hill to Mildura and into South West NSW.

Conditions of entry

The artwork must be hand drawn, sketched, painted on paper or canvas (with allowances for the artwork to be captured digitally via high-resolution photography), or created in digital form. The size of the artwork must be A3 (297mm x 420mm—portrait or landscape) or larger.

The artwork must have connection to (any/all) the local themes of; community and culture; nature and environment; animals/totems; health and wellbeing.

Either new or existing artwork that fit the brief are welcome to be submitted.

Submission

Applicants must read and accept the terms and conditions below to participate.Your artwork must be submitted online. Entries must be supplied as a high resolution PDF, high resolution photo, or be scanned in high resolution (300 DPI) as a JPG, and follow the rules and guidelines.

IMPORTANT: Submitted artwork must be by the artist.
