Sunraysia Community Health Services (SCHS) is a dynamic organisation promoting health, wellbeing and independence in a social model of health to prevent illness, disease and injury. Influencing the agenda for health policy, providing access and equity to health services for our community and encouraging innovation and flexibility to ensure services match community need is a priority.
SCHS has been working with the Mildura campus of La Trobe University to create an opportunity for a Social Worker to work 0.5 at the university in 2022 while working 0.5 at Sunraysia Community Health Services (SCHS).
The expectation is that this will help to build links with the University and SCHS to foster how field education placements are organised and delivered, with the inclusion of practice knowledge in teaching from Sunraysia Community Health Services perspective.
