MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS CO-ORDINATOR

Sunraysia Community Health Service (SCHS) is a dynamic organisation promoting health, wellbeing and independence in a social model of health. The organisation is a source of primary and preventive care for our community members who are at risk of poor health outcomes, and experience acute health disparities. SCHS understands the influence of the Social Determinants of Health upon health inequities experienced by community members and work with consumers and community members, to structure their care around the context in which they live and work.

About the role

We are seeking a marketing and communications specialist to join our team to promote the great services and work being undertaken by SCHS. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is primarily responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating the SCHS brand, best-practice marketing strategy and campaigns within a Social Health model and business development context and ensuring that SCHS promotional and positioning activities complement organisational objectives.

Candidates will be experienced and innovative professionals, with considerable knowledge and experience in the development and delivery of marketing, communication and community awareness initiatives.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, public relations, event management, health promotion or related field; or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role.
  • Highly developed skills in marketing, communications and events management and planning.
  • Proficient graphic design experience in Canva, PowerPoint, Mailchimp and relevant design and audio-visual programs for production of hard copy, online and audio-visual resources.
  • Demonstrated experience website management, content management and Search Engine Optimisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing social media platforms including, FaceBook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.
  • High level writing skills, including the ability to write for highly diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience working with and engaging a range of media outlets.
  • Experience in a similar role within a multi-disciplinary organisation, involving key relationships with executive, senior managers and stakeholders.
  • You’re a solution-focused, proactive and innovative professional who aims to, and delivers unique and relevant marketing and communication experiences for our organisation, stakeholders and community audience.

This includes reference checks and National Police Check for all SCHS employees. Any prospective employee who has resided and worked overseas in the past 10 years for a continuous period of 12 months or more will be required to undergo an International Criminal History Check. Where applicable, employees may also be required to hold a current Working With Children check issued in the state of Victoria and have a current NDIS Clearance (NDIS Worker Screening Check).
