ABOUT THE ROLE
SCHS is seeking applications from suitably skilled, experienced and qualified health professionals for the role of Infection Prevention & Control Officer, a role crucial to the ongoing development of our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to join SCHS in a position that stimulates enquiry, reflection and the use of evidence in clinical practice to promote excellence in the delivery of high quality care. The position is key to providing clinical and non-clinical personnel with the knowledge, skills and clinical expertise relevant to the speciality of infection prevention and control. The Champion of Standard 3 National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, the IPCO oversees SCHS’ Infection Prevention & Control framework.
The successful applicant will meet the key selection criteria identified in the position description, and will have specific accountabilities which include (but are not limited to):
- Prevent, monitor and manage infection prevention and control issues across SCHS;
- Develop, implement, educate and evaluate effective infection prevention and control protocols and procedures.
