Sunraysia Community Health Services (SCHS) is a service providing primary and preventive care for our community members who are at risk of poor health outcomes, and experience acute health disparities.
We welcome expressions of interest from trained Provisional Psychologists interested in extending their scope of practice into the community health setting.
The Program
The Provisional Psychologist will be required to work within the SCHS team to provide clinical consultations and therapeutic support to individuals and families to address mental health and wellbeing needs.
The purpose of the Provisional Psychologist position is to provide a range of psychological therapeutic interventions and clinical assessments with clients who have been referred from a range of sources, primarily for clients of the Mental Health Drug & Alcohol Team.
It is envisaged that the position will work mainly with Adult and young adult clients, however child work may be included depending on the incumbents’ clinical scope of practice.
The Provisional Psychologist will be responsible for providing evidence-based treatment to members of the community. This includes services provided through a range of funding sources. The Internship Provisional Psychologist will work autonomously in their duties, however, will be provided adequate supervision and support.
