Artist Expression of Interest:
SCHS is seeking the talents of an emerging local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artist to create a unique artwork for the redesign of the current Advance Care Planning Booklet.
What is the Advance Care Planning Booklet?
In 2021, SCHS launched the Advance Care Planning Booklet to address the need for a resource specifically tailored to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the community. A respectful and culturally appropriate approach to advance care planning ensures that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals have a health journey that reflects their personal preferences, values, beliefs, and cultural heritage.
Aim and Scope:
To support the work of the SCHS Aboriginal Health Promotion and Chronic Care worker, the aim is to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members have access to the booklet. The artwork should visually represent the journey through health and highlight the significance of culture and community in enhancing the quality of life during this journey.
We encourage all emerging local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by May 2nd, 2025. The successful artist will be recognised and credited in our Advance Care Planning Booklet and, where possible, in all other printed and digital materials.
